If I know something sure about diabetes, that is, you always have to carry a lot of extra stuff in your bag. Being a girl, the problem of the super-loaded bag was a natural way to start the week. I think some days you could find even an elephant in my bag; that’s how many things I was carrying in my purse. Since diabetes, things have not changed much, just replacing the elephant with hypo treats. But what really annoys me is when I want to go for a walk, or for shopping, or even to a club to dance and have to carry a backpack or a big hand bag with me because all the extra stuff do not fit in a small bag.

BUT it seems that the gods of diabetes and fashion have made an alliance and gave birth to the finest brand of diabetics bags. Myabetic is not just another company that creates medical bag models for people with diabetes. It is exactly where fashion and diabetes blend into each other. I just fell in love with their concept. Their bags are so chic that I could not help myself from getting one. Myabetic has created an entire collection of handbags, backpacks, wallets and other accessories specifically designed for diabetic women who want not only a well organized place to keep all that extra stuff, but also a great bag.

Eu am ales modelul Tina pe roșu, pentru că, pe de o parte este de dimensiuni mici și o pot lua cu mine in oraș, având libertate de mișcare, iar pe de altă parte culoarea aceasta reprezintă feminitate și eleganță. Diabetul nu este cel mai plăcut lucru care se poate întâmpla unei tinere, însă îl putem face mai plăcut alegând accesorii care să ne facă să ne simțim mai bine. Cel puțin, asta fac eu în relația mea cu al meu prieten dulce.

I have chosen the Tina model on red, because on one hand, it comes in a small size and I can take it with me when I wanna go out and it allows me to move a lot, and on the other hand this color represents femininity and elegance. Diabetes is not the most pleasant thing that can happen to a young woman, but we can make it more enjoyable by choosing the right accessories that can make us feel better. At least, that’s what I do in my relationship with my sweet friend.

Legat de geanta Myabetic, cuvintele sunt de prisos, pentru că, așa cum se vede foarte clar în poze, este un accesoriu extraordinar de frumos, util și la modă. La exterior are două buzunare care se închid cu o cataramă magnetică, fiind concepute pentru a-ți ține telefonul, actele, banii sau cardul. Iar la interior se ascunde cea mai bună parte: compartimentul pentru supply-urile de diabet. Fi-e-ca-re lucru își are locul lui, ceea ce îmi place la nebunie. Există mai multe buzunare, unele fiind transparente pentru a avea acces mai ușor la lucrurile din interiorul lor, iar altele sunt detașabile, cum e buzunarul pentru teste folosite ce poate fi ușor de scos și spălat.

De obicei, îmi iau cu mine strictul necesar, asta însemnând penul de insulină rapidă, testele, glucometrul One Drop, Genteel-ul, ace pentru pen și pentru Genteel, Freestyle Libre și zahăr. Cam astea sunt lucrurile fără de care nu ies niciodată din casă și care se găsesc mereu în geanta mea.

Speaking of the Myabetic bag, the words are useless, because, as clearly seen in the pictures, it is an extraordinarily beautiful, useful and fashionable accessory. And in the inside is the best part: the compartment for diabetes supplies. E-ve-ry-thing has its place, which I really love. There are several pockets, some of which are see through to have easier access to the things inside, and others are detachable, such as the pocket for used test strips that can be easily removed and washed.

I usually take with me the necessary only, which means fast insulin pen, test strips, One Drop glucometer, Genteel, pen needles and Genteel lancets, Freestyle Libre and sugar. These are the things without which I never leave the house and are always in my bag.
